Jerome D. Waye
Jerome D. Waye, MD, is Emeritus Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Waye has trained and mentored hundreds of students in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy, pioneering new developments and techniques. He has been the Director of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at two major New York hospitals and has published hundreds of papers in the literature as well as written 7 books, ranging from architectural planning and building endoscopy suites to the most widely acclaimed textbook “Colonoscopy: Principles and Practice”.
Dr. Waye has been president of: American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, World Endoscopy Organization. He has participated in numerous live teaching courses throughout the world and is the first person to use the internet to train doctors in remote locations on the proper use of upper endoscopy and colonoscopy
