Prof. Armengol as born 1st of october 1944 in Guimera (Lerida) Spain.
He studied medicine in Barcelona, Spain, and is a specialist in internal medicine, occupational medicine and gastroenterology and currently is Chief of the Digestive Diseases and Endoscopy Service in the Hospital General University Vall d´Hebron, Barcelona.
